While American youngsters learn how to read, kindergarten students in Finland play.

What we don’t talk about in the U.S. is that, since kindergarten is the new 1st grade, all the primary grades (and up) have changed to include more work, more homework, and developmentally inappropriate curriculum. It makes no sense.
